Economy Format

Printed on single sheets (8˝ x 11) of heavy paper, not punched. This departure from the established page-turn-free fold-out sheets is a temporary measure that will apply to LDS Hymn Voluntaries numbered higher than 50, excluding #201-215 (Volume 21), until it becomes economically feasible to return to the standard format. Of course, you can still enjoy a page-turn-free format by trimming outer pages and taping them to inner pages, and by punching inner pages to face each other. This “economy” format serves several purposes:
1. Reduced cost makes it possible to publish and compose more music.
2. Non-consecutive order permits voluntaries requiring more time for composition or copyright permission to be temporarily bypassed.
